Our Test Shoot
We did a mini photoshoot to get a better idea on how would want the set to look like. Doing this test shooting, gave us a better insight on what we need to focus on to make our vision come to reality.

The Idea
The designers that were given to us were the Burkman brothers: a mens casual wear brand. In collaboration with the designers, that we were so lucky to get, we came up with inspiration for a fashion photo shoot. Using inspiration from our designers and an array of online sites such as pinterest, our group came up with the idea of a “lazy sunday” themed shoot that centered around the story of a young couple living in NYC, while challenging the idea of typical gender roles in a relationship. From there, our team created a concept and mood board that reflected our ideas for our shoot. We also created a no makeup makeup look and a relaxed hair type of feel for our inspiration boards to use as a guideline for our shoot. We met with our NYFA team to present to them our ideas and to develop potential shots and lighting ideas. After we were given the clothing we were able to organize it into a variety of different looks. Then came the challenging part of bringing the shoot to life. With the combination of collaborations (NYFA and the Burkman Brothers) we were given, we made the final shoot amazing and came out with some impressive final photos.
The photoshoot was very detail oriented. The set resembled a New York city studio apartment, including a bed, dresser, rug, curtains, and other small accessories found in a bedroom. For this photoshoot we used two different models, one male and one female, with the use of the two models and the Burkman Brothers clothing, we wanted to show a genderless love with shapeless apparel.
Lastly, Mr. ACE is a team that focused on the concept of couples in love that are free and genderless. In collaboration with the Burkman Brothers, we created a story of how a young couple conducts their everyday life on a Sunday morning/afternoon. There will be a total of five different scenes, each of which will be a timeline of the couple having a “lazy Sunday”.
